We kept coming back to the position. Very few villas in Antigua sit on their own point with open water on three sides, and fewer still pair that with a walk to a good beach. Sea Breeze Cove gives you both, along with an infinity pool that reads as part of the sea and a terrace built for long lunches and slow evenings. We also liked how complete it is: six proper en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, a study, and a house manager who can quietly assemble a chef and a full staff when you want them. It is a villa that works equally well for a celebration and for a quiet week off the grid, and the sunsets over the harbour are a nightly event in their own right.

Sea Breeze CoveOur rating  8.6 / 10

We liked the flexibility. Joining two three-bedroom villas gives a group real separation, so two families can share a holiday without living on top of one another, yet still gather around one pool and one long lunch table. The setting does the rest: a private pool over Soldier's Bay, steps to a calm beach, and a full resort a short stroll away for the days you want a spa treatment, a watersport or someone else to cook. Add one of the shortest airport transfers in Antigua and it becomes an easy choice for a group that wants space and privacy without giving up the comforts of a resort.

Caribbean WonderOur rating  8.5 / 10

We chose it for the view and the ease. The saltwater infinity pool and the sea views from every room would headline a much larger house, and the two-floor layout gives the pair of bedrooms a little separation. For two couples or a small family it is just right, private and low-key, yet backed by a full resort with a beach club, spa, gym and restaurants a short stroll away. Sitting between Darkwood and Ffryes, two of Antigua's finest beaches, and a short drive from Jolly Harbour, it is a smart, view-led base that makes the most of a beautiful stretch of coast.

Why Antigua and Barbuda

What makes Antigua and Barbuda worth choosing

A beach for every mood

Antigua's west coast strings together some of the Caribbean's calmest, clearest bays, from Ffryes and Darkwood to the sheltered sands of Soldier's Bay. Days move easily between a private pool and soft white sand, with reef-sheltered water made for swimming and snorkelling.

Sailing at its heart

The island lives by the sea, and its natural harbours draw yachts from across the world for Antigua Sailing Week and the winter regatta season. Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour give a Georgian, seafaring backdrop to a day ashore.

Private villas, easy access

Our Antigua villas favour clifftop and hillside positions with infinity pools and resort comforts close at hand. V. C. Bird International Airport connects directly to the UK and North America, and transfers to the west coast take well under an hour.

Our Selection in Antigua and Barbuda

Few Caribbean islands reward slow days quite like Antigua. We choose villas here for their light, their outlook and their sense of privacy, from the calm bays of Saint Mary to the quiet coves of Saint John, and we hold each to the same test: would we send the people we know. Our team knows these coasts, the beaches worth the drive and the villas that live up to their photographs. Book through us and you gain that judgement, along with a stay we would happily take ourselves, and someone to call if plans change.
