Sunlight Breeze is a four-bedroom ocean-front villa set high within a gated hillside resort at Tamarind Hills, on Antigua's calm west coast. The whole house is arranged around its view: a private infinity pool runs to the edge of the terrace and seems to pour into the turquoise bay, with a plunge pool on the level below and wide covered terraces for lounging out of the sun. Inside, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen space folds open to the sea, and four en-suite bedrooms, most with their own sea-view terraces, sleep eight. The mood is relaxed and coastal, pale timber and grey linen against white walls, with woven pendants and beamed ceilings. Days move between the pools, the shaded terraces and a waterside deck above the sand, with a barbecue for laid-back dinners as the sun goes down. Guests also have the run of the resort, a beach club with a spa, a fitness centre and a restaurant, and a concierge for special extras, and a white-sand beach is a short stroll away. It suits a family or two couples who want an ocean-front base with space and resort comforts, and Jolly Harbour is a five-minute drive. V. C.
