Mont d'Arbois 6 is a sleek, contemporary chalet on the sought-after Mont d'Arbois above Megeve, one of the chicest resorts in the French Alps. Spread over 650 square metres and served by a lift, it sleeps ten across five en-suite double bedrooms, each with a Sonos system, and centres on warm, open living spaces under vaulted timber beams, with a sculptural wood-burning stove and a modern fireplace at their heart. A wellness floor holds a private indoor pool, a sauna and a home gym, and a chalet bar sets the tone for apres-ski. It is a self-catered chalet, with a fully equipped kitchen, though a chef and staff can be arranged, and it comes with a ski locker and boot heaters, a garage and private parking. The Mont d'Arbois lift and the Mandarine slope are around 800 metres away, and Megeve's cobbled village centre, with its boutiques and restaurants, is a short drive. It suits a group or family who want a design-led base with a pool and gym and the flexibility of self-catering. Geneva Airport is around an hour and a quarter drive, and the Megeve altiport is minutes away.

Megeve is a winter resort first, and the chalet is at its best from December to April. December to February brings the coldest, most reliable snow and the festive atmosphere, with the Christmas, New Year and February half-term weeks the busiest. March and early April offer sunnier days and spring snow, often the sweet spot for value and conditions, though being lower than the highest resorts the snow can soften late in the season. In summer the mountains open for hiking, biking and golf.
01The Architecture
Mont d'Arbois 6 is a contemporary chalet in classic Megeve materials, old weathered timber, local stone and marble, worked into clean, modern spaces over several floors around a lift. The living areas sit under vaulted timber beams, opened up and lit to feel bright and generous, with a sculptural free-standing wood-burning stove as a centrepiece and full-height glazing to the…
02The Interior
Inside, the chalet is warm, sleek and beautifully detailed. Vaulted timber beams frame open living spaces dressed in soft neutrals, fur and wool, with a sculptural wood-burning stove and a modern fireplace anchoring two sitting areas, a library lounge with built-in shelving, and a dining room that opens to a terrace and the mountains. A chalet bar in stone and…
03The Outdoor
The outdoors pairs mountain views with a wellness floor. The living and dining rooms open to terraces that look out over the Mont d'Arbois and the surrounding forest, fine spots for a coffee or a drink in the mountain air, and several bedrooms have their own outlook to the trees. Much of the relaxing happens indoors, around the pool, the…

Mont d'Arbois 6 sits on the Mont d'Arbois, the prized ski and residential quarter above Megeve in the Haute-Savoie. Megeve is one of the oldest and most fashionable resorts in the Alps, developed by the Rothschild family, and it is known as much for its cobbled medieval village, designer shopping and gourmet restaurants as for its skiing. The Mont d'Arbois…
