The terrace hot tub looks out over the resort and peaks.

Living and dining open to a wall of mountain glass.
Courchevel 17 is a fully catered ski-in ski-out chalet in the heart of Courchevel 1850, the most prestigious resort in the Trois Vallees, the world's largest linked ski area. Six en-suite bedrooms sleep twelve, and a lift links the bedroom floors to open-plan living rooms with walls of glass framing the peaks, and to a wellness floor below with a private indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna, a hot tub and a massage room, plus a gym and a home cinema. The chalet sits around fifty metres from the Plantret lift with the piste at the door, so you ski straight in and out, and the boutiques and restaurants of 1850 are a short walk. Days run themselves: a daily chef cooks breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, with a butler, housekeeper, chauffeur and chalet manager on hand, and champagne, flowers and a welcome basket greet you on arrival. It suits a family or group of friends who want the slopes on the doorstep and the comfort of a private, staffed home in the finest corner of the Alps. Chambery Airport is around a one hour forty-five drive, and the Courchevel altiport is minutes away.

Courchevel is a winter resort first, and the chalet is at its best from December to April when the Trois Vallees is in full swing. December to February brings the most reliable snow and the festive buzz, with the Christmas, New Year and February half-term weeks the busiest. March and early April offer longer, sunnier days and spring snow, often the sweet spot for value and conditions. In summer the mountains reopen for hiking, biking and golf, quiet and green, though most guests come for the ski season.
01The Architecture
Courchevel 17 is a grand contemporary Alpine chalet clad in old weathered timber, pale render and local stone, built over several floors and served by a lift. The signature of the best Courchevel chalets is here: reclaimed beams, hand-cut stone, tactile old wood and discreet lighting, set against full-height glazing that opens the living rooms to the mountains. The plan…
02The Interior
Inside, the chalet is warm, contemporary and quietly luxurious. Old timber panelling and beams frame open living rooms dressed in soft neutrals, wool and sheepskin, with a sculptural fireplace at the centre and a bar for apres-ski. The main living and dining rooms open through glass to the terrace and the peaks, and a second lounge gives the group somewhere…
03The Outdoor
The outdoors is built around the winter day. A terrace opens off the main living floor with an outdoor hot tub set against a stone wall and the mountain view, the perfect place to soak as the light fades over the resort. Several bedrooms have their own balconies, and the main rooms open through full-height glass so the peaks are…
