Courchevel 16 is a fully catered ski-in ski-out chalet in the heart of Courchevel 1850, the most prestigious resort in the Trois Vallees, the largest linked ski area in the world. Spread over 787 square metres and several floors linked by a lift, it holds six en-suite bedrooms for twelve guests and an unusually complete run of amenities: a private indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna, a hot tub, a massage room and a gym, plus a home cinema, a games room with a snooker table, a wine cellar and a chalet bar. The chalet sits just a few steps from the Plantret lift, so you can ski to the door at the end of the day, and the centre of 1850, with its boutiques and Michelin-starred tables, is a short walk. Days here are looked after from start to finish: a daily chef cooks breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, with a butler, a housekeeper, a chauffeur and a chalet manager on hand, and champagne, flowers and a welcome basket greet you on arrival. It suits a family or group who want the slopes on the doorstep and the comfort of a private, staffed home. Chambery Airport is around a one hour forty-five drive, and the Courchevel altiport is minutes away.

We chose it for the rare combination of position and completeness. True ski-in ski-out in Courchevel 1850 is scarce and coveted, and here it comes with a spa most hotels would envy: an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, hot tub and massage room, plus a cinema, a snooker room and a wine cellar for the evenings. The full catered service, with a chef, butler, housekeeper and chauffeur, means the holiday runs itself, so the group can ski hard and come home to a warm chalet and a cooked dinner. For a family or friends who want the best of the Trois Vallees without lifting a finger, it is hard to better.
