Silver Sands
VILLA • THOMPSON COVE, PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS
8 Bedrooms • 7.5 Bathrooms • Sleeps 16
Silver Sands is a contemporary eight-bedroom villa in a beachfront setting at Thompson Cove on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, sleeping up to 16 guests. Clad in warm timber and local stone, the house makes a striking change from the usual white beach villa, with vaulted, beamed ceilings and walls of louvred glass that frame the turquoise water. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen share one soaring room that opens straight to a timber pool deck, where a private pool is fed by a stone waterfall and lined with sun loungers. All eight bedrooms have king beds, most with en-suite bathrooms, and several open to private terraces above the shore; two convert to twins for families, and a rooftop terrace gives a fine spot for sundowners. Inside there is also a chef's kitchen and a guest kitchen, a home office, a home cinema and a snug reached by a sculptural spiral staircase. The villa comes fully staffed, with a chef, butler, housekeeper and concierge, and provides paddleboards, kayaks and beach volleyball for guests. Direct beach access, a firepit and a covered outdoor lounge round out a relaxed, design-led base for a family or group. It suits those who want modern architecture and a quieter stretch of Providenciales while staying close to Grace Bay. Providenciales International Airport is about fifteen minutes away.

Turks and Caicos is a year-round beach destination, at its most reliable from December to April when the days are dry, sunny and warm and the sea is calm. Spring holds much of that weather with fewer visitors. Summer and autumn are hotter and more humid and fall within the wider hurricane season, which brings the quietest demand and the best value for flexible travellers.
01The Architecture
Silver Sands stands apart from the white villas that line much of Providenciales. The house is built from warm timber cladding and local stone, its upper level wrapped in horizontal boards above a stone-faced base, and shaded by deep eaves and louvred shutters. Inside, the roof opens into a dramatic vaulted ceiling of exposed timber rafters painted white, a piece…
02The Interior
The interiors carry the same warm, natural palette as the architecture: timber, stone, slate floors and linen upholstery, lifted by pops of colour in the Caribbean art. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen share one lofty beamed room, furnished with deep grey sofas, a long oval dining table with wishbone chairs and a curved timber island with bar seating. A…
03The Outdoor
Outdoor life at Silver Sands centres on a private pool fed by a stone waterfall, set into a timber deck and edged with sun loungers. A covered veranda provides a shaded outdoor lounge beside the pool, a poolside cabana offers further shade, and a rooftop terrace gives a high vantage over the cove for sunsets. Landscaped gardens frame the deck,…
04The Location
Silver Sands sits on the beach at Thompson Cove, on the north-western side of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. Thompson Cove is a quieter, more residential stretch of coast than the busy Grace Bay strip, with a calm, sheltered shoreline and clear shallow water, yet it is only a short drive from the island's main cluster of restaurants, shops and…
