Turks and Caicos is a year-round beach destination, at its most reliable from December to April when the weather is dry, sunny and warm and the sea is calm. Spring holds much of that weather with fewer visitors. Summer and autumn are hotter and more humid and fall within the wider hurricane season, which brings the quietest demand and the best value for flexible travellers.

Why we chose it

We chose Seaclusion for its position and its polish. Very few houses sit directly on Grace Bay, a beach that regularly tops global rankings, and fewer still pair that with this calibre of modern architecture and a full staff. The detail most people overlook is how the three pavilions are angled so that nearly every principal room, and most bedrooms, look straight out to the water. Unlike many large beachfront villas, the entertainment here is genuinely complete, with a cinema, a games room and a gym, so a mixed group of adults and children is never short of something to do. The Grace Bay Club privileges add resort service without giving up the privacy of a house.

01The Architecture

Seaclusion is a study in crisp, contemporary island design. Three white gabled pavilions are set side by side behind walls of glass, their standing-seam metal roofs and clean rendered lines a deliberate contrast to the traditional Caribbean villa. The layout spreads across more than 11,800 square feet, arranged so that the principal rooms and most bedrooms face straight out to…

02The Interior

Inside, the palette is bright and restrained, all soft whites and greys lifted by ocean blues and the occasional splash of colour in the art. Double-height living areas are furnished with generous white sofas and sculptural pendant lights, and open directly to the pool and sea through full-height glass. A glass dining table seats ten beneath contemporary chandeliers, alongside a…

03The Outdoor

The outdoor space is arranged around a private infinity pool that runs the width of the villa, its edge appearing to meet the sea beyond. Sun loungers and in-pool seats line the deck, an integrated hot tub sits to one side and a covered pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and dining table gives shaded space for alfresco meals. Landscaped gardens…

04The Location

Seaclusion sits on Grace Bay Beach on the north shore of Providenciales, the main island of Turks and Caicos. Grace Bay is regularly named among the finest beaches in the world, a long arc of powder-soft sand and clear, shallow turquoise water protected by a barrier reef that keeps the sea calm and excellent for swimming and snorkelling. The villa…
