Spring offers the perfect combination of warm temperatures, wildflower meadows across the Puglian countryside, and moderate crowds that ensure excellent restaurant availability and exclusive experiences.

Puglia rewards visitors year-round, though each season offers distinct advantages for different types of stay. Summer (June-August) brings peak temperatures of 28-32°C, perfect for pool and coastal activities, though this represents the busiest and most expensive period with advance booking essential. Late spring (April-May) and early autumn (September-October) provide the region's sweetest spot: warm days averaging 22-26°C, minimal crowds, and excellent value, making these months ideal for exploring historic towns and countryside walks. The heated pool extends the swimming season significantly, making May and October particularly attractive. Winter (November-March) offers mild temperatures around 12-18°C, perfect for cultural touring and gastronomic experiences, with many restaurants offering seasonal specialities like wild mushrooms and game. The olive harvest occurs in late autumn, providing unique opportunities to participate in traditional pressing activities on the estate itself.

Why we chose it

The heated saltwater pool system here represents genuine luxury in rural Puglia, where most properties offer unheated pools unsuitable for cooler months. Unlike typical trullo conversions that feel cramped, this property achieves generous proportions whilst maintaining authentic architectural integrity - the main living space flows naturally between indoor and outdoor areas without compromising the traditional cone-roofed structure. The estate setting distinguishes it from most Puglian rentals: six hectares of private olive groves create genuine seclusion, yet Cisternino's restaurants and markets remain accessible within minutes. The comprehensive service offering, from star-gazing evenings to outdoor cinema experiences, transforms a simple villa stay into a curated Apulian experience that most properties in the region cannot match.
