The main living space opens through floor-to-ceiling windows onto an expansive terrace and a circular poolside gazebo with a built-in kitchen, pizza oven and barbecue. Why we chose it

The bedroom beneath the pool is the detail that stays with you: a king-size room with a double-vanity en suite, positioned directly under the water, which gives it a cool, cave-like quality entirely unlike any other room in the villa. Staying here feels less like a villa rental and more like a private compound: the trullo buildings are spread across the grounds so different members of a group each have their own roof, their own space, their own pace. The valley runs between Cisternino, Locorotondo and Alberobello, the last of which is UNESCO-listed for its concentration of trulli. The region is also known for its olive oil production, burrata, and the Adriatic coast a short drive to the east.
